The weather, currently.

A return to Sunny and mild weather Thursday.

The snow from earlier today has now mostly come to an end— we will look for skies to clear overnight with temperatures falling back down just under freezing. Watch for some slippery spots early Thursday but with the sunshine temperatures in the afternoon will reach near 50°F— for a lot of melting.

It's also nice on Friday with plenty of sunshine and highs just over 50°F. Another storm system will cut through New England on Saturday bringing rain with the rain changing to snow in the higher elevations before ending on Sunday. I'm expecting half an inch to an inch and a quarter of rainfall. On Sunday it turns blustery and quite cold with highs only in the low to mid 30s and it will feel in the teens.— Dave Epstein

What you need to know, currently.

Three wildfires, named the Chipola Complex, have burned over 34,000 acres in Florida's panhandle. The fires are impacting communities that still have not fully recovered from Hurricane Michael in 2018. The fire is following the path of debris left by the category 5 hurricane, that claimed the lives of 36 people.

The largest of the three fires is only 10 percent contained as of Wednesday, March 8. So far over 1000 homes have been evacuated.
