Currently in Boston — March 2nd 2023

It looks like temperatures will be above average for Thursday with highs near 50°F and a few morning showers. Looking beyond a new storm system arrives for Friday night with snow eventually changing to rain before ending. Presently it looks like a coating to a couple of inches of snow south of Boston and up to 5 in of snow as you get close to the New Hampshire border. Most of the snow will have fallen by sunrise Saturday. Temperatures on Saturday will reach above freezing and roads should become wet rather than snow covered. On Sunday it's back to a blend of clouds and sunshine and seasonable temperatures for early March in the lower 40s. —Dave Epstein
