Some of the coldest air in years will arrive overnight peeking in intensity early Saturday morning. Temperatures will tumble through the teens early Friday and end up in the single digits by sunset. Wind chills will continue to lower reaching 15°C to 30°C below overnight Friday and the first hour or so near sunrise Saturday.
The air will be coming incredibly dry and humidifiers will be needed. Temperatures Saturday afternoon will moderate into the mid teens along with lowering wind. On Sunday it's a return to our above average temperature regime as readings get back into the 40s along with clouds and some sun. —Dave Epstein
