Currently in Boston — February 23, 2023
The weather, currently.

Depending on where and when you are driving over the next 24 hours will change your experience on the roads. Overnight a mixed bag of precipitation will arrive in Southern New England. Mostly rain south of Boston some sleet and freezing rain to the west and snow further north. Even there however it will turn to an icy mix after a coating to a few inches toward the New Hampshire border.
On Thursday look for some spotty light precipitation in the morning continuing through the afternoon. Temperatures will actually start to fall from Northwest to Southeast and this could mean some glaze occurs late in the afternoon or evening. This would lead to road crews needing to sand and salt. It will dry out for Friday and the weekend but be quite cold. —Dave Epstein
