The weather, currently.

It's back to the sunshine for Thursday

Many areas received nearly an inch of rain over the past 24 hours and now it's time to return to sunshine. Temperatures during tomorrow will go from the 40s into the lower 50s in the afternoon. There will be a bit of a breeze. Much colder air starts to arrive for Friday as it continues to be bright and blue.

Highs will be in the low to mid 40s. Even colder air arrives this weekend with readings staying between 35°F and 40°F across the area along with plenty of cloud cover and perhaps a little spotty light precipitation. There may even be some light snow away from the coast early next week. —Dave Epstein

What you need to know, currently.

We are ramping up efforts to finish building Project Mushroom ASAP — a safe platform to promote connection, mutual aid, and transformative action at a critical moment in history.

As a supporter of Currently we are inviting you to be one of the first to join Project Mushroom today — A platform is only as good as the people in it, right?

You can get a Project Mushroom account by following this link. Best practice is to use the same username you had on Twitter to help people find you. If you get stuck, check out our On-Boarding Instructions and our Support Page below, or email us: info@tryprojectmushroom.com

Project Mushroom – Find The People You Follow
We created a tool to help you automatically follow people on Project Mushroom who you currently follow on Twitter, as well as send invite links to your friends. Here is a link to the tool: https://start.projectmushroom.social/ Important: To use this tool, you must have already created your Proj...

We’re also giving you the first access to something we've been working on for weeks: An automated tool to help you import your friends from Twitter and rebuild your social media networks on Project Mushroom.

Our Twitter-to-Project Mushroom migration assistant is live now!

This tool is a work in progress, so please bear with us. It will only work if you first register for Project Mushroom and select your username using the steps above. If you see any funky bugs, email info@tryprojectmushroom.com

From the very beginning, we've promised Project Mushroom to be a safe place on the internet — and this tool is designed for you to share this space with your most trusted allies, friends, and colleagues that you want to change the world with. We are the only Twitter alternative (as far as we know) that has a team of paid moderators — and a commitment to racial, social, and climate justice. Our goal is to make migrating your entire social network from Twitter as easy, safe, and enjoyable as possible.

Your support has made it possible for us to build this community, and we aren't finished yet. We have a Kickstarter going right now, and we need your help getting it across the finish line. We’ve raised almost 100k and have 8 more days to raise 100k more. When you pledge your support, you’ll have a chance to vote on an exclusive Project Mushroom sticker design.

Is this all a lot of info? We feel you. We’re hosting an information session on Monday the 12th at 7 PM EST, to tell you more about Project Mushroom and answer your questions. Reserve your spot now!
