Currently in Boston — December 7th, 2022

The weather, currently.

Rain for the midweek.

Rain will continue overnight and into Wednesday. Temperatures will be mild, with highs in the 50s. I expect anywhere from three-quarters of an inch to just over an inch of rainfall. You can expect the Wednesday morning and evening commute to take place with wet roads. This will slow things down a bit. Looking ahead toward Thursday, it will be mild with highs in the 40s to lower 50s along with more sunshine. It's colder on Friday, but still dry with highs in the 40s. There may be some more light precipitation over the weekend, but at the present time it looks like it will be liquid not frozen.

What you need to know, currently.

We are ramping up efforts to finish building Project Mushroom ASAP — a safe platform to promote connection, mutual aid, and transformative action at a critical moment in history.

As a supporter of Currently we’re inviting you to be one of the first to join Project Mushroom today — A platform is only as good as the people in it, right?

You can get a Project Mushroom account by following this link. Best practice is to use the same username you had on Twitter to help people find you. If you get stuck, check out our On-Boarding Instructions and our Support Page below, or email us: info@tryprojectmushroom.com

We’re also giving you the first access to something we've been working on for weeks: An automated tool to help you import your friends from Twitter and rebuild your social media networks on Project Mushroom.

Our Twitter-to-Project Mushroom migration assistant is live now! https://start.projectmushroom.social/

This tool is a work in progress, so please bear with us. It will only work if you first register for Project Mushroom and select your username using the steps above. If you see any funky bugs, email info@tryprojectmushroom.com

From the very beginning, we've promised Project Mushroom to be a safe place on the internet — and this tool is designed for you to share this space with your most trusted allies, friends, and colleagues that you want to change the world with. We are the only Twitter alternative (as far as I know) that has a team of paid moderators — and a commitment to racial, social, and climate justice. Our goal is to make migrating your entire social network from Twitter as easy, safe, and enjoyable as possible.

Your support has made it possible for us to build this community, and we aren't finished yet. We have a Kickstarter going right now, and we need your help getting it across the finish line. We’ve raised almost 100k and have 10 more days to raise 100k more. When you pledge your support, you’ll have a chance to vote on an exclusive Project Mushroom sticker design.
