More humid air will be with us for the next couple of days. There'll be a lot of clouds on Monday but not much in the way of precipitation beyond a couple of showers. On Tuesday a frontal system approaches with a better chance of rain especially in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be in the 70s to near 80°F on Monday and similar although perhaps a little cooler with the cloud cover on Tuesday. Dryer weather resumes itself over the region for the middle part of the week and this should last into the upcoming weekend with seasonably warm temperatures

California's heatwave is winding down as Tropical Storm Kay lashes its southern coast.
"While rain may seem like a welcome break for many heat-stricken Californians or a reprieve from the ongoing drought, the intensity combined with extremely dry land conditions could be dangerous. Additionally, the strong winds even have the potential to push temperatures up in some coastal cities."
